Challenge #2: Fragments Basics
Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

All I can say is, "WOW!"
No, make that "DOUBLE WOW!!!"

You guys ROCKED Challenge #1! What an incredible assortment of flat-out gorgeousness. I saw a bunch of great ideas I want to try out, and enjoyed making some new friends, too. Tim sure does know how to inspire people, doesn't he?

To start off this week, let's talk giveaways! Big congratulations to the winner of the awesome Eclectic Paperie Tim Holtz assortment, Kim Young! Here's Kim's lovely tag:

Thanks again to the wonderful Daisy at Eclectic Paperie for being the very first Compendium Challenge sponsor. All who didn't win, take heart! — Daisy will be back soon!

Also, Gloria from the All Things Tim group at Yahoo, has been hosting her own Compendium Challenge giveaway, and I get to announce the winner here: Congratulations to Angie Hall Haviland! You go, girl!

The lovely Gloria is doing another giveaway for All Things Tim members who participate in this week's Challenge, so if you belong to the group, you'll have another chance to win! If you don't, well, now's the time to join! They're wonderful folks.

And, hey, there's a brand new giveaway here this week, too! It's like Prize Fest 2010! Details below...

Right now, we're on to Challenge #2! Please open your Compendium to page 62, where you'll find Tim's tutorial for his Fragments Basics technique. I love this one!

You can use any of the Fragment styles you wish, and get as creative as you dare (ooh, I like that idea!) but do keep in mind that "Dimensional Collage Fragments" and "Fragment Charms" are both techniques that we'll be exploring later, so you might want to stick with the more basic theme this time. Of course, that's totally up to you! Please remember, though: Don't post the actual technique instructions on your blog. (Everyone was great about that last week, by the way. Thank you!).

Now, about that giveaway. My sweet friends Heidi and Steph at Simon Says Stamp have been incredibly supportive of the Compendium Challenge, and they've signed on as this week's sponsor! You'll love this: One name, drawn at random from the entries for this technique, will win:
That's right: a $25 Shopping Spree at Simon Says Stamp!

How awesome is THAT??

I love Simon Says Stamp. Their inventory is mind boggling, their customer service is spectacular, and they even host their own great Challenge Blog. Stop by and say "Hello!" when you have a minute.

To be eligible to win this generous shopping spree, simply use the Fragments Basics Technique to create your own work of art. Upload it to your blog or online photo album and link it here using the InLinkz form below. The winner will be selected via the Random Number Generator, and will be announced when I post Challenge #3, next Monday.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks again for your enthusiasm! This has been such a happy week, and I'm excited to continue exploring Tim's Compendium of Curiosities with you all!

Hugs,
Linda

Fun card, you've inspired me. Wish I wasn't tied up at work so that I could be home stamping, but at least I have some good daydreaming material now.

Thanks for sponsoring this, its my first time doing a challenge and I've been having fun playing with it. I did my own take on it with a Star Wars theme but that's vintage right?!
