Our overarching theme for June at Gingersnap Creations is "Flight," and this week's challenge is to create art that in some way incorporates Wings! Birds, butterflies, hang gliders, my hair when the layers have grown too long... you know, anything like that.
This is the time of year when the Western Tanagers are migrating through Boise, and they are the most gorgeous little creatures! I figured this challenge would be a good opportunity to create a little homage to these sweet, tiny birds. Cooler still: another opportunity to bust out the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die!
I love this poem.
Gingersnap Creations hosts a new challenge every Wednesday, and you have an entire month to submit your art! We love variety and don't have a lot of rules, and would be thrilled if you'd join us!
- Paper by DCWV and the Tim Holtz Shabby Chic Paper Stack
- Western Tanager is cut from Grungeboard with the Tim Holtz Alterations Caged Bird Die and painted with Adirondack Dabbers in Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange, Red Pepper and Pitch Black.
