Hey blog friends, this is a special-edition post and a heartfelt call to a community of people who know that, without a doubt, Art Heals. My blog buddy, Sherry Goodloe, who so many of us know and love, was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday. Chances are, you've already admired Sherry's wonderful creations at her fabulous blog, GOT ART? (she makes the COOLEST charm necklaces in the world!), but if you haven't had the opportunity yet, please check out her gorgeous work and read her always-inspiring posts. She's truly one of the most talented and kindest people in the crafting world.
With Sherry's permission, I'm asking everyone who is able to join me in letting Sherry know that she has a whole BUNCH of us to lean on while she conquers this challenge! We all understand how much it means to receive something lovingly handmade, and with this community of exceptionally talented and generous people, we can fill Sherry's home with so much beauty and love, and that's exactly what she needs while she's kicking cancer's ass!
I don't want to post Sherry's physical address on a public blog, so if you'd like to join me in sending some handcrafted love to her— and I really, really hope you will!— please send me a quick email and I'll reply with her mailing address. Click here to email me.
Thanks so much, everyone! You guys are the best!
Love,
Linda

Life throws challenges at us but Sherry has a positive attitude and that can be seen in her artwork. She will beat this. I refuse to think otherwise.
Hugs, Chris
I have just started following Sherry's blog. She is an amazing artist. Art does heal, I know that first hand, I will be sending Sherry a card out in tomorrows mail. The craft world is an amazingly compassionate family. It always tugs the heart strings when I see how the "family" pulls together to help someone who needs some help, prayers or hugs.
Linda - thank you for reaching out on Sherry's behalf. She is a dear sweet artful soul who I have had the wonderful pleasure to get to know a bit. All my prayers and heart-full wishes are being sent to Sherry to emerge from this so very soon and with great vigor.
Damn it. I'll e-mail for Sherry's address in a minute.
Until then, I'm sending upon the Earth's healing breezes many caring and loving Thought Fairies ...
I have been an admirer of Sherry's for a while now. I can see she is a fiesty lady and will be in her corner throughout the fight. She is a winner and the big C has met it's match in Sherry.
Will be emailing for her address right now.
