The old school bell has rung for most kids by now, and we're breathing a big sign of relief at the Drunken Stampers Lounge and Rejuvenation Spa.
Here comes the disclaimer:
Since I am not myself a parent, I realize that I can't fully appreciate the wondrous feeling of relief and sweet freedom that Back to School brings to my child-bearing friends. But trust me when I say that I'm happy for you all! I know you miss your kids while they're off getting their education, but I can't imagine you not enjoying a little "me" time during the day.
Heck, sometimes at work I lock myself in the bathroom just to get a little peace and quiet for five blissful minutes. And I don't even work with kids (actually, that's debatable...).
Which is why I made my own DO NOT DISTURB sign, and yes, I AM going to take it to work and hang it on my desk (not that anyone will pay the slightest bit of attention, but I'll enjoy the thought, anyway).
I don't know who makes this sweet, coffee-sipping retro girl stamp (I'm sorry!), but I do love her. She was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. Her hair and the background were shaded with Adirondack inks, and the splotches on the background were made with a damp sea sponge. The text is from a Brother label-making machine, and it looks much cooler in real life because it's a shiny silver instead of the dull grey it appears to be in the scan.

I love this. Fun kind of retro image and the way you colored it! At my office, we had a restroom that was located in a seldom used part of the office and I would go back there at the times I needed a little piece and quiet. I could never understand why they didn't let me have the seldom used area for my staffs offices, but, office politics. I'm glad I don't deal with those anymore!!!

Oh yes I like this one! I think I might have to make a whole bunch of them. I would like to have earrings saying do NOT disturb - maybe i will just tattoo it in my forehead. But then again - no signs will ever be helpfu if noone reads them... Oh well - I don't drink coffe either *LOL*
