Show me a woman who can climb the highest mountain
Show me a woman who can sail across the widest sea
Women need women who lead lives as bold, as daring
Tell me their stories they inspire me!
—"Inspire Me," by Libby Roderick
There's no one more bold and daring than a woman who faces breast cancer, and whether her battle is fought with humor, quiet reflection, primal screams, copious tears, or all of the above, make no mistake— she's a Warrior.
This month, we're celebrating the healing journey of our dear friend, Sherry Goodloe, who's recovering from her recent double mastectomy, and has just learned that she won't have to endure chemo or radiation! Sherry is our official Warrior Woman Muse for this hop, and is someone we all love and admire. Of course, so many of our friends and loved ones— if not we ourselves— have faced breast cancer, and our art is intended to honor each and every woman who has, is, or ever will fight this battle.
Sherry, our Warrior Woman Muse!
I'm also celebrating my friend and partner in Drunken Stamper-hood, Peggy Toole! Peggy is an artist, the mom of three young boys, and one of the kindest women you could ever hope to know. Like Sherry, she's kicking cancer's ass with grace, and her creative spirit inspires me every day!
Peggy, with her beautiful smile!
The Pink Ribbon Warrior Women Blog Team is:

Please help us celebrate these Warriors by visiting our blogs and finding some inspiration for your own art. In many cases, there's blog candy to be had for those who leave comments! After visiting each blog on the hop, please create your own work of art in celebration of the Pink Ribbon Warriors, and upload your masterpiece at the:
Please make sure your photo privacy is set to "Public" so we can all admire your art. This won't affect the privacy settings of any other photos you might have at Flickr.
You're welcome and encouraged to dedicate your art to someone specific (or any number of special people!), and please use the "Add a Description" field in the gallery to tell us about them. Every Warrior Woman has a story to be told; let's celebrate their courage and perseverance in both art and words!
Submissions will be accepted through October 30. On October 31, our Warrior Woman muse, Sherry, will choose a winner who will receive this amazing prize package, courtesy of Daisy at eclectic Paperie:
Prize package includes a Basic Grey Precision File Set, Pink Scotch Advanced Tape Glider, and a Pail Full of Assorted Stickles (because, as Daisy said, "Every girl needs some sparkle and glitter in her stamping arsenal, right?..."
As I mentioned earlier, several of us who are hosting this hop are offering a little blog candy of our own, and I have a special treat for someone who leaves a comment here at my blog and uploads a work of art to the Warrior Women Gallery:
$20 to spend at eclectic Paperie!
Our blog candy winners will be announced on October 31.
To every women who's ever faced breast cancer, to her friends and loved ones, and to those who work tirelessly to find a cure, we send our deepest admiration. You are all Warriors in the truest and most honorable sense of the word, and your courage and conviction are creating a better world for everyone.
With love,
Linda

Loving the muse book .....a special place to express those thoughts, fears and tears thanks for sharing your friends story ....she is a very strong warrior woman!
Great verse :) Will really try to join in this one. As one of my dearest friends said..."It's only a bit of flesh just cut the darn thing off!" Now that's a Warrior Spirit don't you think?

We're LIVE! This is exciting! Loving that book you made for Sherry. Have a great day, friend! Hugs, Ellen xx
Love the muse book and I have nothing but admiration for Sherry and what absolutely fantastic news that Sherry does not have to face chemo. This blog hop is such a fantastic idea, my Mother in Law beat breast cancer quite a few years ago now and like all the women I know all are warriors. Positive vibes to everyone fighting this battle and much love to all. Tracy Evans x
What a perfect cover for this journal!
I haven't known anyone personally who has had breast cancer, but have heard of thousands who have. May they all be Warriors in their fight! I have lost my Father and Grandfather to other types of cancer, so I can relate to the battle. My heart goes out to everyone who is dealing with this disease...
What a great cause and reason for a blog hop. I am so truly delighted that you ladies are doing this. Great journal Linda. And what a great sense of humor to help keep perspective. I hope I can play along.

I am 100% behind this cause, everyone at some point in their lives has been effected with this horrible Cword, either directly or indirectly.

I love the muse book. Cancer touches all our lives at sometime or other and I lost my mum 5 years ago to cancer and now my husband and best friend is fighting the worst fight of his life - he has prostrate cancer. We take each day as it comes.
