Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 26!

Rusted Grunge!
Page 45 of Tim Holtz's A Compendium of Curiosities

Welcome back! Boy oh boy, did the holidays ever fly by, or what?! I hope yours were lovely, and I'm really excited to get back to our weekly Compendium of Curiosities Challenges. I've missed you guys!

This week's technique, Rusted Grunge, is super easy and a great way to add lots of fun texture and instant antique-iness to your artwork. Once again, I'm blown away by the brilliance  of Distress Embossing Powder. What an ingenious invention!

To really start 2011 off with a bang, this week's prize is from that super-special box of joy sent by Tim and Mario themselves! Behold the wonder of Holtzian Goodness:

Check out the Tiny Attacher. It's autographed!

Tim and Mario, you're The Best!

To be eligible to win this Tim Holtz Extravaganza, simply create your own art using the Rusted Grunge technique and link it to this blog via the InLinkz button at the bottom of this post. You're in the running as long as you honor these two simple rules:

1. Follow the technique as it's written in A Compendium of Curiosities (adding your own special flair, of course!); and

2. Out of respect to Tim, please don't post the technique instructions on your blog!

Gloria, the lovely List Mom at the All Things Tim group at Yahoo, will also send a lovely gift from her special stash to one lucky participant! Just upload your image to the Compendium of Curiosities folder at the ATT home page, and be sure to tag your photo "CCC #26." If you aren't a member of All Things Tim, please join! It's a great place to meet incredibly nice and talented people.

Challenge 26 is open until 8 pm MST next Sunday, January 9, and I can't wait to see what you create with the Rusted Grunge Technique!

Have an awesome, art-y week, everyone!

Oh boy! I love this technique and I love the prize!!! WooHoo!!
Linda, your tag is beautiful! I love the softness of the embossed background and colors you used. The baubles add a real feminine touch. Then to contrast all that with the rusty grunge heart and wings is very cool!
